Biden’s Words and Actions Confirm He is the Abortion President
Sunday, February 12, 2023

President Biden’s State of the Union address expressed his extreme support for abortion on demand throughout pregnancy by opposing state laws protecting unborn children and their mothers from the violence of abortion, opposing any national bans on abortion, and stating his support of a “right” to abortion. His remarks included, “Congress must restore the right that was taken away in Roe v. Wade — and protect Roe v. Wade.  Give every woman the constitutional right…The Vice President and I are doing everything to protect access to reproductive healthcare and safeguard patient safety.  But already, more than a dozen states are enforcing extreme abortion bans…Make no mistake about it: If Congress passes a national ban, I will veto it.”

In contradiction to his unwavering support for abortion, Biden recognized the divine nature of human creation stating “…every one of us, is created equal in the image of God” while enabling the deaths of uniquely created human beings in the womb who are denied their equal right to life.

Biden invoked God’s name 10 times during his more than an hour-long speech and said that the U.S. “stands as a beacon to the world”.  Regrettably, Biden would have the U.S. be a beacon for the death of unborn children until the moment of birth in the U.S. and around the world as he and his administration seek to overrule state laws on abortion, establish a federal right to end the lives of children in the womb and promote abortion around the world.

The following are a few of the Biden administration’s pro-abortion statements and actions:

President Biden on January 22, date of the Roe v. Wade Decision

On January 22, the date of the Roe v. Wade Decision, President Biden vowed that he would “continue to fight to protect a woman’s right to choose.” He said, “Congress must restore the protections of Roe v. Wade in federal law – it’s the only way we can fully secure a woman’s right to choose in every state.”

Proclamation on January 22

In his proclamation on what would have been the 50th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Biden stated that his administration “is resolute in its commitment to defending reproductive rights and continuing our Nation’s progress toward equality for all.” He proudly mentioned the Executive Orders he issued in response to the Dobbs decision, including to prevent state prohibitions on access to abortion-inducing drugs that he has allowed to be sold in pharmacies and the creation of an Interagency Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access to lead his government-wide response to Dobbs with the intent to advance and secure access to abortion.

Memorandum on Access to Abortion-Inducing Drugs

Biden’s memorandum on abortion-inducing drugs allows pharmacies to become certified to dispense the abortion drug mifepristone following FDA changes enabling distribution by non-physicians. Mifepristone, the first drug in the RU 486 regimen, causes the starvation death of the unborn child. A number of states are acting to prevent pharmacies from selling the drug as a major court decision on access to the drug is expected from Texas.

White House Website Lists Abortion as a Top Issue

The White House website lists reproductive rights [abortion] as a top issue along with the economy, clean energy and vaccines. The link for Reproductive Rights goes to an official website run by the Department of Health and Human Services. The site repeats the Biden line that abortion is health care: “Reproductive health care, including access to birth control and safe and legal abortion care, is an essential part of your health and well-being.”

The information listed ranges from how to have abortion covered by insurance, obtain an abortion as emergency care, obtain abortion-inducing pills, understand privacy rights, and how to file a complaint with Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights (OCR) for violation.

Reproductive Rights Task Force

The Reproductive Rights Task Force is run by the Department of Justice (DOJ). A quote from Attorney General Merrick Garland summarizes its pro-abortion purpose, “Few rights are more central to individual freedom than the right to control one’s own body. The Justice Department will use every tool at our disposal to protect reproductive freedom."

The role of the Task Force is explained as monitoring and evaluating all state and local legislation, regulations, and enforcement actions related to abortion—labeled as “reproductive care”—as well as monitoring, investigating and prosecuting those it believes are a threat to abortion clinics. The website lists the recent indictment of 8 pro-lifers who are being charged with violations of the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, the FACE Act, for an abortion clinic protest that took place in August 2020.
